Nature photography workshops return to Reddish Vale County Park

In August our nature photography workshops returned, as social restrictions were finally lifted. We headed to Reddish Vale Country Park in Stockport with a great turn out of budding photographers, ready to snap all that nature had to offer. Our group were treated to a huge array of bird life around the ponds within the vale, including a stunning presentation of summer flowers and insect life that is in abundance at this time of year. As well as an extensive photography walk we explored the technique of cyanotype under the famous viaduct; cyanotype is a printing process that produces a shadow image on paper when something is placed on top of it; our photographers took plant and flower cuttings to create their own prints, producing some incredible patterns and textures. We wrapped up the day’s shoot with coffee and hot chocolate (and lots of cake!) at the mobile café near the visitor’s centre.

Workshops will continue into the autumn and we are very excited to witness the changing of the seasons through our camera lenses! Stay tuned for our coming workshop dates that will be announced very soon.
